How To Make A Funeral Booklet

A funeral booklet is a center fold containing multiple pages and can be found in 3 sizes of letter, legal or tabloid.  The pages or sheets of paper are held together by 2 center staples.

You can create the funeral booklet from scratch or by using a ready-made template. If you want to make it from scratch, some setup work is required prior to entering your information.

First determine the size and amount of pages you want to create. Then take 2 or more, blank sheets of paper and fold it in half. Open the sheet and begin measuring the location of each fold line, from left to right. Next, open the software you want to use and place your ruler line on the fold. You will need to setup the software document for each page you want to create. Be mindful that in some software, the order of the sheets displayed will not be the order in which it folds. You will need to do some trial and error to determine the flow of the pages. It is important that you are very familiar with the software, prior to starting your lay-out, to avoid or minimize any technical issues that may arise.

Setting up a funeral booklet from scratch, can be time consuming and will get more complicated the more pages you add. If you’d like to get a jump start on the process, utilizing a funeral booklet template is a best option. The Funeral Program Site, offers 2 sizes of funeral booklet templates, available for immediate download. We’ve taken care of the technical setup, page flow and background design, so all you need to do is begin entering your text and photos.
