Should you keep funeral programs?

Funeral programs
are often thought of as a cherished keepsake that is an item distributed at the final celebration of life. This document summarizes the life of the deceased and highlight achievements, memories and the life lived. Most families do opt to have a funeral program as a way to share the loved one's memory with all attendees and serve as a guide for the service itself.

Some might be concerned that spending money on funeral programs may not be worth it since they are concerned, programs will be thrown out or left on the pew. Yet, there are also others who do not have the heart to dispense of this beloved program. The fact is the grieving family members took time to formulate, design, and print the funeral program and also have put much thought into its content.  The immediate grieving family members most definitely will keep and cherish the funeral program of their loved-one.

We do recommend keeping the funeral program as a way to have a tangible keepsake from the service. It's a nice memorial and could be something you refer back to, if and when you have to have one printed. The funeral program differs from any other pamphlet or bulletin you would get in a church, meeting or event. It is a special way of sharing a life lived. Leaving this type of program in a pew after a service may be taken as a form of disrespect for the deceased. Most people who attend a funeral or memorial service do in fact keep this printed material as a keepsake of the life of the deceased. And, there are also others who do not have the heart to dispense of this beloved program.
